How to check a Drawyz draw
You should not have to trust us. Here are the four things anyone can check, and how.
1The random number is real
Every winner is picked with a public random number from drand, run by the League of Entropy (universities and companies around the world). Each number is signed by the network, and nobody, including us, can know it in advance or change it.
On the competition page, open the link of the drand round: it shows the number and its signature, straight from drand. It must be the same number as the one on our page.
2The draw time was fixed in advance
Before entries close, the competition page shows which drand round will be used: the first one published at or after the draw time. We cannot wait for a number we like: the round is fixed before it exists.
3The ticket list and the winner can be checked
When entries close, we seal the list of valid tickets and publish its seal on the competition page, with the time. Compare that time with the time of the drand round: the seal comes first, so the list cannot be changed after anyone sees the number.
The winning position is SHA-256("random number:seal") read as a number, modulo the number of tickets in the list. After the draw, everyone who entered can open My account, see the full list and the secret used for the seal, and press "Check this draw myself": their browser redoes every step and reads the random number from drand directly.
The exact formulas are in section 4 of the Competition Rules. Only the AirPods Pro 3 competition, which closed before the sealed list existed (13 October 2026), was drawn with the earlier method described there.
Why only entrants? The list would show how many tickets we sold. The seal shows nothing about it, and the people who paid can still check everything.
